Alex Fang CFP® - President

As one of the co-founders of Surf For Life, Alex's vision is to establish Surf For Life as one of the world's premier international volunteer organizations.  Alex formerly worked as a financial planner for Ameriprise Financial, but was recently promoted to marketing director.  He holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of California - San Diego.

Jeff Boord MBA - Vice President

Jeff Boord is the Vice President of Surf for Life.  Jeff is also a Senior Consultant specializing in Portfolio and Program Management solutions for Pcubed in San Francisco, Ca.  He holds BS and MBA, degrees from The University of Pittsburgh.  His professional career involved several years as a civil servant with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C. where he managed all aspects of community growth programs.  Jeff’s background also consists of serving as the Executive Secretary of the William A. Jump foundation, which recognizes federal employees for outstanding service in the field of public administration.  He is now involved with delivering complex business solutions to various clients across multiple industries.  Jeff has also been the keynote speaker at many industry conferences and symposiums.

Jonathan Sofer - Treasurer

Jonathan Sofer is the treasurer and founder of Surf For Life.  Jonathan’s motivation for creating this organization stems from the recent loss of his sister Jennifer Karp to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).  Jonathan is a senior consultant for Pcubed in San Francisco, CA, specializing in Program & Project Management.  He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and is a very big Buckeye fan.  He holds several Microsoft Professional Certifications specifically around project management software and concepts.  He has recently received the Microsoft Project MVP award.  These days, he is involved with delivering complex business solutions to various clients across multiple industries.  Jonathan is also an accomplished violinist.
