What a great event!  Friends of Surf for Life and the Jennifer Karp Trust came together to make a difference in the life of two young children who recently lost their mother to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).  After Jennifer's passing, both children and their father were left facing the harsh reality many face after an unexpected death.  As a community we came together to make a difference in their life by raising money to support the education of Jennifer's children Jacob and Sarah.

Members of Surf For Life hosted a crawfish boil and an auction sponsored by local businesses.  If you've never had a crawfish, it is like a miniature lobster that has been seasoned to spicy Cajun Creole perfection.  Those who've been down Big-Easy-way, know the best part is sucking the juices from the head!  The rest of us cringe at the thought, let alone the sight, of this southern delicacy.  The night consisted of gorging of crawfish and free beer, an auction of donated items and people, on-site 5 minute mini-massages and great conversations by the guests.
