The mission of Surf For Life is to help surfers make a positive impact in the world.  Many of the best locations around the world for surfing reside in developing countries where access to the basic essentials such as education are not as readily available as other parts of the world.  Surfers often visit these communities in search of their wonderful offerings of world class waves.  We meet the locals, laugh with the children, partake in the native cuisine and culture, but rarely leave behind anything more than excess surf gear and the occasional sticker and article of clothing.

Surf For Life is about leaving a positive impact on the locations surfers have been frequenting for the last five decades by providing assistance to the children of these communities.  Children of developing countries are the key to their homeland's future prosperity.  Most children in these communities struggle to stay ahead of the international educational curve due to lack of basic essentials such as a roof over their heads and hot meals, to complete inaccessibility to a formal education. 

That is why Surf For Life chooses to support two efforts designed to combat both challenges in these communities.  By building and remodeling schools and orphanages Surf For Life can help to provide the opportunities children of developing nations need to prepare themselves to lead their communities in the future.
